Our Story

The Archery Shoppe was formerly known as Albuquerque Archery, a business successfully operated for decades by its original owner. After being sold to an English investor, the shop was ultimately forced to close, leaving Albuquerque without a dedicated archery pro shop for nearly two years.
In 2001, Noble Sinclair, along with Mark and Gina Chavez, purchased the business from Jack D’Ambrosio and set out to rebuild it. The Archery Shoppe quickly grew into the largest archery pro shop in New Mexico—but that growth came with challenges. The original 4,000-square-foot location was packed with inventory and limited to just a few shooting lanes, far short of the vision the new ownership had in mind.
Opportunity came in the form of a nearby property in a high-traffic area at a manageable price. Construction began soon after, leading to the 7,200-square-foot facility the shop operates out of today—featuring 3,700 square feet of shooting lanes and 3,500 square feet of retail space.
In recent years, Sinclair retired and sold his interest to Mark and Gina Chavez, continuing the shop’s legacy under their leadership. Longtime team members Gabe Lovato, head bow technician with over 21 years of service, and Annette Gonzales, inventory and special orders manager with 12 years of experience, have since become part owners—recognizing their dedication and passion for the shop.
